For the Volkswagen GTI 40th Anniversary Design Award,
I was selected as one of the 20 finalists from ESMOD Berlin to develop a fashion design project in collaboration with Volkswagen.
The task was to create a fashion design using original car interior materials provided by Volkswagen. My project included mood and inspiration concepts, research, illustrations, draping, pattern construction, sampling, fittings, full product development, technical pack creation and handmade garment production.
The final design was exhibited at the DRIVE Volkswagen Forum in Berlin.
The design.
The design for the VW Design inclueded 5 design ideas where one design was selected to be realised. The first ideas were designed through handsketches and collages, later translated into digital collages using Adobe Photoshop. The technical drawings, tech packs and physical portfolio bucklet was then created using Adobe Illustrator. Further design ideas inclueded T-Shirt print design suggestions which I created usung Adobe Photoshop.
