Upcyling.
Through the creative workshop platform The Makery, I developed and led a public upcycling workshop concept for Adidas as part of the Green Lab at the Adidas flagship store opening at Zoologischer Garten, Berlin in 2022.
The workshop invited people of all ages and skill levels to upcycle garments and materials, using original Adidas advertising banners that had covered the flagship store during renovation. Participants were guided to create new wearable items such as bags and pouches from reclaimed materials.
I developed the workshop concept, created two instructional manuals introducing banner upcycling and sewing basics, provided materials and guidance, and led all workshop sessions.
In addition, I designed a statement jacket made from reclaimed Adidas banners and garments, which was later exhibited in the flagship store window at Zoologischer Garten Berlin.
Due to the strong public response, I was invited again in 2023 to lead further upcycling workshops for the Adidas Run for the Oceans (RFTO) event at the Adidas Sports Base in Kreuzberg, Berlin with the same approach. Additionally I exhibited some of my upcycling designs and created large-scale textile installations using fabric scraps for the event RFTO sport base.

Working on the prototypes out of banner pvc material.

For the jacket design I used the adidas banner material from the workshops for the outside as well as old adidas apparel garments for the lining.
